Why I Write Friday Flows

It’s more than just a blog…I think?

It was the moment I realized life
wasn’t what I thought it to be. Or
what I wanted it to be. Who is
the man in the mirror? If I am
him, then who is he? Is my
mind playing tricks on me?

Sometimes I feel the drive towards a life of comfort and false indenties. I wish I wore a suit and earned a high-paying salary working for some consulting firm because maybe my life wouldn’t have unfolded the way it did. Then again, the behaviors and choices I sometimes get obsessed about are the exact ones that got me here, which tells me there is wisdom to be found in this space. Not to mention, I wouldn’t be able to share my gift with the world.

The elusive pursuit of happiness can initially supply us with an egotistical pull towards outcomes. If we let the chase get the best of us, we lose ourselves at the expense of something meant to be free and often experience exhaustion, burnout, depression, and emptiness inside.

My writing proves what happens when life changes unexpectedly and you find pleasure in something utterly different from what you planned.
