Staring at a blank page is like staring into the void, except this particular void blinks back, one taunting cursor at a time. Welcome to the purgatory known as writer’s block, where I’ve set up camp more times than I’d care to admit.

So what do you do when your soul decides to play hide and seek, leaving you grappling with the vast emptiness of the unwritten? You write. You write about being unable to write, about the absurdity of sitting by yourself, nursing a coffee that’s lost its appeal, hoping for a muse that’s taken the day off.

Mark Twain said, “The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”But what old Twain failed to mention is what happens when you don’t know where to start. That’s where I find myself, a dried-up well in the desert, echoes of past inspirations bouncing off the barren walls.

In these moments, life mirrors the struggle of the pen.

Pursuing something meaningful often leads us down paths riddled with obstacles, each demanding a piece of us. And much like the elusive words that dance just beyond reach, life’s answers often hide in plain sight, cloaked in the mundanity of everyday existence.

So here I am, rambling on about the intricacies of a craft that’s as punishing as it is…
