We Are Losing The Battle Of Life
You were meant to be a warrior.
Strong, athletic, confident, and fueled with a purpose.
You were trained to push past the point of no return. To face your fears, and to never give up.
Yet, when you leave the service, life isn’t as easy as you thought it would be.
The reason is simple, and a hard truth for veteran men to swallow- repression.
Even though you have done incredible things in life, you are sitting in a world full of depression, anger, confusion, and uncertainty.
Struggling with your marriage, career, and on the verge of calling it quits.
Not because you have given up, but because you simply do not understand or know how to deal with the limitations you are creating within your own life.
And that’s not your fault.
Today’s warrior has become timid, out of shape, and lost in modern-day society. He is no longer confident with his abilities to succeed. He turns to alcohol, drugs, and represses his feelings.
This is not a judgment, but a wake-up call.
A study from the Department of Veteran Affairs showed that the suicide rate among veteran men the age of 18–45 has increased since 2014.
