When you realize you are the universe, and
there is nowhere to go or a destination to be,
acceptance creates energy while you set your
heart free, in a paradox of duality where you’ll
meet infinite possibilities, and find pleasure
in the form of the simplest things.

When it comes to happiness, I am discovering how to detach myself from this elusive pursuit. Performing open mic poetry is teaching me everything I need is in front of me every day I am granted another walk on this earth.

Except, sometimes it’s not so easy to accept.

I get overwhelmed by anxiety. I chase happiness. I let anger get the best of me. The dense fog of life clouds my reflection, and I lose sight of my values and who I am as a man. To clear what I see, I must accept the paradox of duality.

The paradox of letting go allows me to see something more significant is happening in the moments I am here right now. This is not me saying I am passive in life. Not at all. It takes great courage to challenge myself on stage and share my soul. What I am saying is, when you find the courage to listen to your heart, and…
