You’d think, having written a book titled “Nowhere to Go” on this subject, I’d have exhausted all avenues of self-reflection. Discovering my ex with someone else wasn’t just a gut punch but a Mike Tyson knockout in the ring of life. Depression, an intimate tango with the brink of existence — I lived through it all, mirroring Medea’s emotional chaos and sense of profound betrayal.

In “Medea,” the heroine is shattered by the ultimate betrayal as her husband deserts her for another. This act propels her into a whirlpool of revenge and despair. My experience, while less theatrical, echoed these themes — the shock of betrayal, the emotional upheaval, the feeling of life coming undone at the seams.
