The Holiday season is here and allows us to gather and connect with loved ones. For many of us, despite the most joyous time of year, the holidays often lead to stress and anxiety.

But why does this happen?

As a kid, we would open presents, eat lots of food, and have no worries. But as adults, we worry about work, family, friends, food, and money. We end up focusing on the things that don’t matter and forget about the things to do. This often leads us to feel overwhelmed, stressed and exhausted.

Here is how you can save your sanity during the holidays.

Master Your Body

The average American consumes over 4000 calories during the Thanksgiving feast, and that is just one meal. It’s like our health becomes the last thing on our minds as we consume large amounts of food and alcohol.

No wonder why so many people are stressed and anxious during the holidays.

Your health is a direct correlation to everything that goes on in your life, and it’s no secret that your physiology affects your thoughts and emotions.
