How to Focus on Gratitude in a World Full of Uncertainty

Melina turned seven this week. I love watching her grow. It feels like magic unfolding. It truly is a gift, and I never want to take this moment for granted.

When I look around, it appears everyone is stuck in a heightened state of panic, wondering about the economy in an unforgiving world. We’re walking around like mindless drones glued to our phones.

Where has all the magic gone? You know, that magic when you meet new people? Or the spark inside when you’re attracted to someone new? Or that adventurous side of you craving freedom beyond your comfort zone. What about doing what you want to do without the expectations of anyone else?

Today, it’s just routines and habits like zombies in a graveyard of life in overpriced homes in cities that are always cold, dark, and rainy. But with all the chaos in the world, you must remind yourself of all the good in your life.

Most of 2022 felt like a graveyard for me. It was like a bad marriage that ran out of magic. No more date nights. No more seven-second kisses or sex between the sheets. Just trapped behind a screen, chasing hearts, likes, comments, and clicks.

Everything was predictable. It left me exhausted and overwhelmed.
