Words Powerful And Sacred

Friday Flow In Montana , April 2021

These flows are not about anything at all. I do them because they are not edited but often end up as some of my most insightful revelations.

I feel like myself when I write with no context. I feel like something else when I try to force words. This is why I started these flows and how my book came to life.

Anyhow, this morning I am in Montana for a marketing conference. But really, it’s not about marketing. It’s about connection. It’s about owning your story. It’s about being human.

And I think discovering who you are underneath the noise of life is probably one of the most important pursuits we can ever live. Because we all have needs in life that make us want to feel seen, heard, and accepted. They are ripples of our hearts and how we interact in the world.

We struggle so hard to be seen by others. But maybe it’s not others who do not see us, but it is us who we do not see. I am starting to question this every day I wake up. Do I truly see myself?

Which has me thinking about affection. I want to be loved, kissed, hugged, and close to others. Who doesn’t? It is something I have missed over the last year of life. At the basic level of who we are, affection is so essential to human existence.
