The Spaces Between

I’ve been trying to let go of outcomes in life. Fuck that's hard. How can I detach my worth from what is happening at the moment? How can I take full responsibility for my life while surrendering to the unknown? How can I leave the work I am creating up to the Universe?

You have a right to perform prescribed duties, but not entitled to the fruits of your actions — Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2, Verse 47

This verse reminds me of how complex we are as humans. We spend so much time in our lives trying to control what does not exist while we lose sight of the infinite amount of possibilities in front of us. It is so deep in our collective patterning our worth gets weighed down by heavy chains created by outcomes that make us cling to the past while we walk a heavy path away from our most authentic selves.

What would happen if we surrendered to the unknown? Doubt and fear will creep up on our shoulders and feed off our insecurities. But the only reason these exist is that we come up with a rule that keeps us weighed down.

So what can we do to break the chains?
