Thoughts about dreams and repressed emotions

5:37 am, Reflecting On Dreams

I’m dreaming again. Not in the sense of chasing goals and having aspirations (which I still have) but vivid images that come to me before I write each morning.

I talk about this a little in my upcoming book because I ignored these dreams most of my life. It’s the first time I’ve ever shared this with anyone, and even while writing these words you are reading, I was thinking about deleting this entire flow. But it wouldn’t be a Friday Flow if I did not write the first thing that came to me without thinking. Such a beautiful thing to witness as my words create a connection between two realities I know cannot coexist.

Carl Jung Said Dreams are impartial, spontaneous products of the unconscious psyche, outside the control of the will.

I am learning from his studies that dreams are an integral part of our journey in this universe we are part of. It’s as if our dreams represent parts of us calling to come forward even though we aren’t sure why or how. And while I am just starting to document my dreams when they appear, I know it is just the tip of what I must explore because something is waiting for me in the murky waters below.

So if I am honest with myself and anyone who stumbles upon this, much of what I dream about…
