December 2020

In retrospect, 2020 has been a massive reflection of the things I needed to face. Heartbreak, love, redemption, and the denial of these feelings led to a series of choices woven together in the fabric of life.

Every conversation. Every story. Every workout. All choices that brought me closer to revelations where my pain unfolded into something much larger and more purposeful than feeling lost.

I wrote this poem yesterday

So many of us walk around life as if our hearts do not exist. We avoid those spaces between us as we get lost in the chaos of the world.

This morning, I gave myself permission to enter those spaces. To ask what my heart wants from me. With each breath, I was able to feel myself sink deeper between the places I was afraid to go.

With an open mind and heart, I stopped running and saw that I cannot make a wrong choice in life as long as my heart stays open. No matter the outcome.
