I’m at the coffee shop waiting for my Americano with a side shot of liquid courage, aka espresso. It’s my nod to simplicity in a world that often feels anything but. And today, simplicity takes a backseat as my mind wanders through the complex seas of hidden love.

In this shop that’s become more than just a caffeine pit stop, I find myself trapped by the thought of her. It’s my fourth visit, and I can’t help but think that I’m chasing a ghost.

Is she merely a wraith from my imagination, or is there flesh and bone to this phantom that stirs the ink in my veins?

Tuesdays are usually predictable. School drop off. Morning gym session. Breakfast. Coffee shop. But today feels different. There’s a creative charge in the air. A prelude to an unwritten chapter that beckons with the promise of untold stories.

And then she walks in. She orders her usual latte, almond milk swirling with honey in a dance of sweetness and light, and chooses a spot not far from mine.

But what captures my attention isn’t just her presence. It’s the book she’s holding, a collection by Mary Oliver. Oliver, who wrote, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” seems to echo…
