What Moving On Really Means

We avoid the unknown.

Holding on to the safety of the ordinary world gives us a sense of control.

It’s a story of love. It’s a dream. It’s all of the things we think we need to be in life while we miss out on the many opportunities that are trying to unfold.

During transitions, our mind starts creating limiting beliefs. We have voices in our heads that cling to the pain. People tell us to move on, but we can’t because we are stuck in a story that makes us feel safe even though we want to change. And it costs more than we think.

Leaping into the unknown is a crucial principle to overcoming tough transitions in life. If you talk to anyone who has built something significant in their life, you’ll see the similarities within anything worth pursuing. If we wish to overcome struggles in our lives, we must learn how to let go of the past so we can make room for the new life trying to unfold.

Here are some concepts and principles adapted from my just-released book- Nowhere To Go: Navigating Tough Transitions, and ways to help you fully accept yourself to move forward into the future with strength, optimism, and dignity.
