Let’s pretend that you’ve decided you want to write a book, start a podcast, and a business. Maybe you crave more freedom in life. Perhaps you are sick of working long hours for a company that treats you like another number. Or maybe you’ve hit rock bottom and realized you have nowhere else to go.

Whatever is happening, you’ve decided to make a change. But now you are searching for happiness and success and aren’t sure why you feel more empty.

Chances are, you’re more like me and have no clue why you feel this way. Here are three lessons I have learned from my adventures in life.

#1- Every choice you make comes with a consequence.

I like to think of myself as a reflective human, but truthfully, I react.

I think we all are irrational at times. Choosing things in life that are based on reactivity rather than thoughtful reflection. And I also think we tend to rely on high expectations while biting off more than we can chew in hopes our self-discipline and motivation will pull us through tough times.
